CCEMP 2021 求职经验分享会

活动简介

各位刚走出校园的小伙伴，想必都在找工作的过程中或多或少有各种的困惑，比如参加会议不知该如何跟业界大牛聊天，给对方留下一个不错的印象；走进招聘会，见到理想的公司，不知该如何表现，往往还没有说几句便草草结束，倍感尴尬。在求职和自我规划的路上有哪些经验和坎坷，来听听前辈们的经历吧！

本次活动我们邀请到3位目前就职于环境工程行业的专业从业人员。他们将结合自身岗位，为大家分享个人求职与职业规划中的心得以及所了解的工作中涉及到的公司雇主方的招工期望。

本次活动采取开放式的交流形式。我们相信每个人都能从别人的发言中得到启发，从而共同进步。我们欢迎每一个人带着问题或者是个人经验参与到我们的讨论中来。

主讲人

Bill Li - P.Eng, M.A.Sc

Bill(Shuihan) Li is a project manager at Keller Foundations Ltd., providing projectestimate, design coordination, and project execution with the field team. Hewas involved with the surface shoring of Yonge Eglinton LRT Stationconstruction, providing support for secant pile shoring, jet grouting, andtimber decking. He was also involved with the Transit City Towers 4/5 projectin Vaughan, where Toronto’s first diaphragm wall project for a residentialtower was successfully completed. Prior to joining Keller, Bill completed hisMaster of Applied Science research at Ryerson University, with a focus oncement soil-mixing of sensitive and quick clay ( Champlain Sea Clay) inOntario.

Oliver Shi - E.I.T.,Ph.D., LEED-GA

Oliver Shi is currently employed by Klohn Crippen Berger, an international civil and environmental engineering consultingfirm, as a geotechnical/civil engineering consultant. Combing with his post-graduate researchstudy, Mr.Shi has accrued 8 years of experience in the design, numerical analysis,and providing construction assurance of tailing/earth dams, spillways, and othersoil structures. He also has 6 years of experience in laboratory testing ofgeotechnical materials and interpretation of test results for research purposes.

Sharon He -P.Eng, M.A.Sc

Sharon is a Water Resources Specialist at Aquafor Beech Limited, providing technical support in disciplines of fluvial geomorphology, hydrology/hydraulics, and stormwater management. She has completed a variety of projects for Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, master plan studies, detailed channel restoration designs, flood assessment, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.  Sharon obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and she is currently an Engineer in Training working towards the Professional Engineer License of Ontario. She is also a part-time master student at the University of Toronto, pursuing further education in Environmental Engineering. As a member of the CCEMP Board of Directors, Sharon is devoted to assisting in planning and organizing fun but also rewarding social and networking events, as well as providing more opportunities for knowledge and experience sharing.

XiaoboWang - Ph.D.,P.Eng., P.Geo

XiaoboWang is a Principal and Senior Geotechnical Engineer with Thurber EngineeringLtd. Dr. Wang completed his B.Sc. in Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology andM.Sc. in Engineering Geology in China between 1990 and 1997, and his Ph.D. inGeotechnical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2008. He has over twenty-fiveyears of geotechnical experience including more than ten years in Canada withThurber. Xiaobo has worked on a variety of projects involving transportation,infrastructure, municipal and industrial developments. His specialties includegeotechnical site investigation and assessment; foundation analysis and design;slope stability assessment and landslide mitigation design; numerical modellingin geotechnical engineering practice; pile static and dynamic testing andinterpretation; geotechnical instrumentation, monitoring, data reduction andinterpretation. His recent projects include the LNG Canada Project in Kitimat,British Columbia; Edmonton Valley Line LRT Development; and Edmonton ICEDistrict Towers and Alldritt Tower.
