Oliver Shi – E.I.T. Ph.D., LEED-GA
Oliver Shi is currently employed at BGC Engineering Inc, a Vancouver-based engineering consultant specialised in the design of earth dam, tailings dam, and pipelines across the globe for the mining and energy sector. Oliver graduated with his Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2019. Combined with his experience in post-graduate study, he as accrued over 10 years of experience in design, numerical analysis, geotechnical laboratory tests, and 3 years of industrial experience in providing construction assurance of tailings/earth dams, spillways, and other soil structures. Oliver served as the president of CCEMP since 2022 and vice-president in 2021.
